Privacy Policy

Koda Sidecar keeps meeting data out of Koda Sidecar servers.

Effective date: June 20, 2026. This policy covers Koda Sidecar and Fathom Action Items & Exporter.

Summary

Fathom Action Items & Exporter processes meeting action items and exports locally in the user's Chrome browser. Koda Sidecar does not operate a server that receives or stores meeting content.

Extension access

Data requested from Fathom

With a user-provided Fathom API key, the extension may request meeting titles, dates, recorder identity, invitee names and emails, structured action items, completion status, assigned owners, Fathom meeting links, summaries, transcripts, and highlights. Transcripts, summaries, and highlights are requested only when the user selects export or filtering options that need them.

Local storage

Data stored in Chrome

The extension stores the user's Fathom API key, team preferences, email defaults, saved owners, reviewed action items, processed meeting references, hidden meeting IDs, trial count, and license status in Chrome extension storage.

Data sent to third parties

  • Fathom: The Fathom API key is sent only to Fathom's official API to retrieve permitted meeting data selected by the user.
  • Stripe: Stripe processes payments. The Koda Sidecar website verifies checkout and creates a signed license code. Meeting content and Fathom API keys are not sent to Stripe.
  • Email applications: When a user opens an email draft, the selected recipients, subject, and plain-text body are handed to the user's email app. The extension does not send email.
Use

What Koda Sidecar does not do

Koda Sidecar does not sell user data, use meeting data for advertising, train AI models on meeting data, receive meeting content on Koda Sidecar servers, or send email automatically.

Deletion

Retention and control

Local settings remain until the user removes the extension, clears extension storage, or uses the extension's delete-data controls. Stripe and Fathom retain data according to their own policies.
